Alderson Archers Wrap Up Season in Myrtle Beach, Elementary Places Second

MYRTLE BEACH, SC- The Alderson Archers traveled to the NASP Open World Championship in Myrtle Beach from June 5-7 and ended their season in impressive fashion.
 
The middle school team finished 14th out of 62 teams in 3D.
 
Additionally, the elementary team finished sixth out of 33 teams in 3D and placed an incredible second out of 42 teams in Bullseye.
 
Kinley Honaker finished seventh in middle school female in 3D.
 
Jack Kelly, a fourth-grade archer, was there to accept the team trophy and medals on behalf of the team.
 
Travis Camden and Braxtyan Smith were both awarded $500 scholarships to be used towards any post-secondary education which is a great honor.
 
The elementary team has finished in the top five at worlds in back-to-back years and has not finished worse than seventh in a national tournament in two years and are in the midst of a memorable few years of archery.
 
“This concludes our archery season, and we are looking forward to the next”! – coach Andrea Sloan said after the worlds.
