WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. (WVDN) – White Sulphur Springs Elementary celebrated Month of the Military Child with a spirit week April 20-24. Dress-up days included: Military Monday, Crazy Camo Day, Red, White and Blue Day, Purple Up Day (to honor military children), and RED day (to Remember Everyone Deployed). The April 2026 Month of the Military Child theme is “Military Children and Youth: Strength in Every Story.” WSSE has been recognized with a Purple Star Award – a designation assigned to schools that display a special commitment to supporting military children and their families.
