Two lives lost after vehicle accident in Daniels

DANIELS W.Va. (WVDN) – Two individuals lost their lives in a vehicle accident in the Daniels area on Sunday, April 14. The West Virginia State Police released the following statement:

“On Sunday, April 14th, 2024, at approximately 9:30 am, Senior Trooper S.A. Wickline responded to a three (3) vehicle collision in the 1800 Block of Ritter Drive in Daniels, West Virginia. Two (2) victims identified as 52 year old Dewey Raynes and his wife 49 year old Melinda Raynes were pronounced deceased on scene. The motorists in the other two (2) vehicles involved did not obtain any life-threatening injuries and refused medical treatment. A West Virginia State Police Crash Reconstruction Team responded to assist with the investigation. At this time the investigation remains active and ongoing. No additional information will be released at this time.”
