GREENBRIER COUNTY W.Va.(WVDN) – Two individuals, Kaenon L. Hundley, 26, and Ireland Keen, 24, both of Fairlea West Virginia, have been arrested in relation to a child overdosing. Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department Chief Deputy Bart Baker released the following statement:
“During the early morning hours of Friday, December 22, 2023, members of the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department responded to a local hospital regarding a 2-year-old child who had reportedly suffered an overdose. The child had been transported to the emergency room by EMS personnel and had been administered naloxone twice during the transport. The child was admitted to the hospital and was expected to be transferred to another medical facility.
“Members of the Sheriff’s Department obtained a search warrant for a room at a local motel where the child had been staying with their parents. Upon execution of the search warrant, illegal narcotics, along with drug paraphernalia, were seized. The room was processed by the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department Crime Scene Unit.
“Both parents were arrested and charged with one count each of Child Neglect with Risk of Death or Serious Bodily Injury. They were identified as Kaenon L. Hundley, age 26, of Fairlea, and Ireland Keen, age 24, also of Fairlea.
“Deputy Tyler Cutlip of the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department is the lead investigator.”
Both individuals are currently in Southern Regional Jail on a $25,000 cash-only bail.
