BLUEFIELD W.Va. (WVDN) – A fugitive, wanted in Florida on a warrant for 1st-degree murder, was captured in Bluefield. The West Virginia State Police released the following information:
“On Wednesday, March 27, 2024, Corporal K. A. Filer was contacted by Detectives from the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office in Florida in reference to Brian Estep, whom they had obtained warrants on for the 1st Degree Murder of Amber Estep on January 16, 2024 in Brevard County Florida. Detectives provided Cpl. Filer with information which led Cpl. Filer to obtain a search warrant for a residence on Grandview Street in Bluefield.
“On Thursday, March 28, 2024, 33-year-old, Brian Estep was arrested and charged as a fugitive from justice for the 1st Degree Murder charge. A search was conducted with the assistance of BCI Bluefield, resulting in eight (8) items of evidentiary value seized from the residence and turned over to Brevard County Detectives.”
