WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS (WVDN) – Those who wish to eat fish on Fridays are in for a treat in White Sulphur Springs.
Fried tilapia “walk in to go” dinners by the Greenbrier Valley Council Knights of Columbus will begin Mar. 18 in Butler Hall of St. Thomas Episcopal Church on West Main Street with dinners served 4:30-7 p.m.
The Butler Hall location allows the Knights to sell the “walk in to go” dinners and allow those who wish to eat dinners together to use the few tables available to sit and eat together
“We will not provide table service but will sanitize each table after use,” said Church officials.
Dinners will be available on Mar. 18, 25, April 1, 8, 22 and 29.
“The same great culinary staff will be preparing the dinners in the kitchen in Butler Hall which was used to serve thousands of meals during the flood of 2016 and rebuilding of White Sulphur Springs,” said Perk Berry Jr., grand knight of the Greenbrier Valley Council.
The volunteer culinary staff includes Chef Sue Moats of The Greenbrier, Chef Paul Cicoria of the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, retired Chef Deborah Fabry, and Deacon Bill Strange.
“We are very much indebted to the congregation and staff of St. Thomas Episcopal Church for their generous offer for us to use Butler Hall, which honors the memory of the late priest who served St. Thomas Church, as well as for several months served as organist at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in White Sulphur Springs for the Saturday evening Mass.
