RONCEVERTE- If you’re looking for name brand furniture at a deeply discounted price, your local Greenbrier County BoxDrop Store in Ronceverte, WV could be your best bet.
Now with a brand-new showroom in the Red Oaks Shopping Center between Ollie’s and Goodwill, BoxDrop offers great deals on name brands such as Serta, Simmons, and Nectar, just to name a few.
“Our prices are extremely competitive”, says store owner, Matthew Marks.
Matthew Marks, owner
“We’re normally about 30% below retail pricing on living room and dining room furniture, and up to 50% below retail for mattresses as well.”
And it’s not only that next sofa, mattress, or dining room set that you’ll find when heading into BoxDrop, but you will also discover that the customer service is top notch. Marks, who happens to be a musician, and a father of three kids under three years old, is one of the most dependable folks around.
Marks tells WVDN how he got involved with BoxDrop in the first place.
“I was working for a music-booking business, but when COVID hit, I lost my income.” Marks then relocated to Greenbrier County from Charleston, WV in 2020 to help out on his family farm in Clintonville for a while. Soon after, a high school buddy who worked for BoxDrop in another part of the state convinced him to join the network.
“Now,” claims Marks, “Each BoxDrop location in the state is owned by a guy from a group of buddies that went to high school together.” This includes Marks’ other newly opened showroom in Princeton, WV as well.
With a focus on keeping things local, Marks reminds customers that if you buy from BoxDrop, you are supporting the local “Mom and Pop Store, instead of contributing to stockholders, or the CEO’s yacht.”
Marks and his team not only offer lower prices than chain stores but will also custom-build your own sectional to fit the dimensions of a particular space, with delivery and assembly available.
What started as a little store by appointment only in the back of a shopping center, has now turned into an impressive new showroom and a 7 days-a-week operation.
“We have been very lucky so far, everyone in the community has responded and is always wanting to buy local.”
BoxDrop is located 294 Red Oaks Shopping Center in Ronceverte, WV (same location as Kroger), and is open Monday-Saturday from 10AM-6PM and Sunday from 12PM-4PM.
