UNION, W.Va. (WVDN) – Blankenship Auto Body Repair in Union may be just five years old, but it’s already built a reputation for honest work and genuine care.
Known for treating every vehicle like it’s their own, owner Ryan Blankenship takes pride in helping customers get back on the road with repairs done right. From small fixes to major body work, Blankenship Auto Body — located at 1220 Sweet Springs Valley Road —has quickly become a trusted part of the community, and that’s why Ryan thinks his customer base has grown into a solid foundation.
“Grown substantially,” he said when asked how his clientele has expanded over the years.
“We offer discounts for military veterans, emergency personnel, etc. We also offer free estimates,” he added.
Owning your own business has its pros and cons, and that is no different for Ryan week in and week out.
“Helping the customers feel like they get a new vehicle back and it’s a rewarding feeling to know we took something messed up and made it nice/new again,” Ryan stated.
“And a rewarding feeling knowing we’re fixing someone’s else ruined day, making them have a terrible day into a good one, fixing things that’s broken with my hands,” he continued.
And although the positives outweigh the negatives, the job does not come without its challenges.
“Keeping work flowing as a small business and making sure to keep everything moving,” he said when discussing the difficulties.
Still, Ryan would not have it any other way because the relationship with his father, who raised him around vehicles, also helps him at the shop when he’s able.
