CALDWELL, W.Va. (WVDN) – The Greenbrier River Watershed Association is holding a second Make-it-Shine trash pickup at the Caldwell boat launch area this year.

They will begin at 10 a.m. then proceed with picking up trash in the area. You may bring a kayak or canoe if you want to help get trash from the harder to reach areas on the island and riverbanks as well.

Free Hydroflask reusable water bottles will be given away to participants! Bags, gloves and pickers are provided by the WVDEP Make-it-Shine program. Additional details and other events may be found on the Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/greenbrier.watershed

If you know of any locations in the watershed that needs a trash pickup organized, give the watershed a call at 304-647-4792, and let them know where. Organizers said, “We hope to see you on May 17!”
