Cavs Get by Richwood Behind McClung’s Bat

CHARMCO- The Greenbrier West Cavaliers baseball team gutted out an impressive win on Tuesday night when they defeated the Richwood Lumberjacks 10-6 at home.

The Cavs overcame six errors and ripped out nine hits to help them get the victory.

Landon McClung showed up to play and went 2-4 with a run scored, a homerun, and a team-leading 4 RBI. Scott McClung also had two hits, and Hayden Holliday scored two runs for Greenbrier West.

S. McClung was also solid on the mound and went six innings, scattered six hits, gave up three earned runs, and had eight k’s. L. McClung had a nice inning of work as well and struck out three.

With this victory, West improved to 5-10 on the season and will host James Monroe on Thursday evening. Check the WVDN Facebook for that result.
