LEWISBURG, W.Va. (WVDN) – Local golfers and community supporters are invited to tee off for a great cause on Saturday, May 2nd, 2026, as the Lewisburg Lions Club hosts its annual Charity Golf Tournament at the Lewisburg Elks Country Club. This year’s event features a shotgun start at 9:00 AM and is open to teams of all skill levels.

Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Lions Club’s mission of supporting eye care needs for residents in the Lewisburg area. This fundraising effort is a cornerstone of the club’s charitable work.

A major draw for this year’s tournament is the dramatic expansion of potential prizes, centered on a high-stakes Hole-In-One contest. One designated hole will offer a Grand Prize of $5,000 for the first hole-in-one achieved. Furthermore, exciting prizes will be available on all par-3 holes across the course for a successful hole-in-one.

The tournament will follow a 4-Person – Team Captain’s Choice format, designed to be a fun and accessible event for diverse groups. Registration is $400 per team. While pre-registration is encouraged, teams are also welcome to register on-site the day of the tournament. The day’s events will conclude with lunch, which is included in the registration fee, followed by an awards ceremony.

The Lewisburg Lions Club is also accepting hole sponsorships for $100, which offers local businesses and individuals a highly visible way to show their support. Door prizes and direct cash donations are also gratefully accepted.

Checks for all registrations and sponsorships should be made payable to the Lewisburg Lions Club and can be mailed to P.O. Box 1215, Lewisburg, WV 24901.

For registration and more information, please contact: Lion Joe Taylor: 304-483-5393 or Lion Mike Leland: 985-960-1223

About the Lewisburg Lions Club: The Lewisburg Lions Club is a local chapter of Lions Clubs International, a world-renowned service organization with over 1.4 million members.
