LEWISBURG, W.Va. (WVDN) – The monthly meeting of the Bluebell Garden Club was held on Thursday, April 16, at the Lewisburg United Methodist Church. Nancy Fisher, Vice President, presided over the meeting. Refreshments were provided by the hostess, Linda Gullakson, assisted by Brenda and Linda Spencer.
Key items discussed focused on the June 13 Home and Garden Tour. The Bluebells will host the lovely home and garden of Sheila Robinette on Chestnut Street in Lewisburg. Five garden clubs in the area are also involved with homes on the tour and related activities. Tickets are available in advance from the Greenbrier Valley Visitors Center in Lewisburg, Gillespie’s Flowers and Events in White Sulphur Springs, and from area garden club members. Tickets will also be available on the day of the tour at all featured homes.
Schedules were shared for several events/activities, including planting the triangle area, vendor pots, and two cemetery plots. Field trip dates for members were announced for the Roanoke-Salem Garden Tour to be held on April 25, as well as an all-day trip to the nurseries in the Waynesboro and Charlottesville area on May 5.
