SUMMERSVILLE- Before the Greenbrier East Lady Spartans defeated Nicholas County 10-0 on Tuesday, April 21, both teams resumed play from the game on April 15 that was cut short due to Greenbrier East’s Maddie Baker suffering a serious injury.

Well, the Spartans picked up that win and then proceeded to get the shutout immediately after.

Lacy Patriacca led the Lady Spartans at the plate and went 2-4 with a double, 2 runs scored, and 4 RBI. East also got a 2-run homerun from Haylee Heaster in the first inning as Heaster finished with 3 RBI in the contest. Norah Ambler (2-3, 2 runs) also had a multiple hit game.

Pitcher Kennah Collins had a big game in the circle and had a complete game, allowed only one hit, and struck out six.

The Lady Spartans move to 11-6 on the season and will get a couple days off until this weekend when they travel for a double header at Independence against Logan and Independence.
