Ravenswood, W.Va. (WVDN) —On Tuesday, February 17, 2026, Corporal E. C. Greathouse began investigating a report of credit card fraud by an employee for the City of Ravenswood.
During the investigation Corporal Greathouse discovered that Kimberly Benson, 58, of Ravenswood, allegedly made multiple purchases for personal items using the Ravenswood City credit card. The total of the items purchased was approximately $1,600.
On Wednesday, April 15, 2026, Mrs. Benson was arrested for one count of Credit Card Fraud and nineteen counts of Computer Fraud. Mrs. Benson was arraigned at Jackson County Magistrate Court, and she was released after posting a $25,000 bond.
