LEWISBURG W.Va. (WVDN) – National Newspaper Week, Oct. 5-11, reminds me it is time to celebrate the role of newspapers in our communities. The West Virginia Daily News has served for generations and is proud to be part of that continuing tradition connecting families, supporting local businesses and sharing the stories that matter most. This week, I want to thank our readers for their loyalty.

In communities across our state, newspapers are more than headlines. It’s a record of sports games, school events, town meetings and neighborly stories that connect us. Our readers have helped shape The West Virginia Daily News into a trusted source you can rely on day after day.

Newspapers have evolved with technology; now we share news online, on social media and in print, but the goal remains the same: to deliver accurate and fair information. Your support continues to inspire our team of reporters, who cover community events and local sports, as well as the editor who strives for balance, and the delivery team that brings the paper to your doorstep, rain or shine. We are proud to remain a trusted local source you can turn to for reliable information.

I would like to thank you all for reading, sharing and supporting us. I’m very proud of The West Virginia Daily News team that works hard every day. We look forward to bringing you more stories that matter to you today, tomorrow and for years to come.

Happy National Newspaper Week!
