Wilkinson, W.Va. (WVDN) – On April 14th, 2026, Trooper C.D. Woodall responded to a motor vehicle crash that occurred at the Route 44 Service Center in the Wilkinson area of Logan County. Upon arriving on scene Trooper Woodall and other first responders discovered the vehicle had struck a gas pump and was actively on fire.
Kyle Jeffery, 32, of Cambridge, Ohio, was extracted from the vehicle. Mr. Jeffery was transported to Logan Regional Medical Center to receive medical treatment.
The fire caused from the crash also destroyed three other vehicles that were at the service station. Trooper Woodall reported that the estimated value of property destroyed or damaged is significant.
The investigation into this matter continues.
