A Greenbrier County man was arrested on the morning of Thursday, June 3 in relation to an incident that occurred back on March 11. Lester B. King, 38, of White Sulphur Springs has been charged with two counts of assault, and one count of destruction of property.
Shortly before 1:30 p.m. on the date in question, deputies from the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to a residence on Mountaineer Lane in White Sulphur Springs to investigate reports of a domestic disturbance. Once on the scene, deputies spoke with the victims, who stated that Lester B. King had caused damage to the victim’s trailer, and threatened to physically harm them.
According to the criminal complaint, upon being told to leave the residence, King allegedly threatened to slap the female victim, and advised the male victim that he would “be getting a beating.”
Deputies then located King walking on U.S. Route 60 west of the residence. King reportedly told deputies that “he didn’t threaten (the male victim), however, he did threaten to slap (the female victim).”
King also allegedly denied causing damage to the residence.
Lester B. King is currently being held at Southern Regional Jail on a $2,000 cash-bond or surety.
