LEWISBURG W.Va. (WVDN) – As April winds down, The West Virginia Daily News (WVDN) is issuing a heartfelt plea to the community: help us support the Greenbrier Humane Society. With the donation drive scheduled to end on April 30, we find ourselves lagging in our goal to provide crucial assistance to this vital organization. Now, more than ever, we need the generosity and compassion of our community members to rally behind this cause and make a difference in the lives of our furry friends.
The Greenbrier Humane Society serves as a beacon of hope for countless animals in need. From abandoned pets to strays in need, this organization provides a haven and a second chance for those that have been left behind. However, their noble efforts require ongoing support from the community to continue.
Recognizing the critical role that the Greenbrier Humane Society plays in our community, WVDN launched a donation drive at the beginning of the month to collect essential items such as pet food, blankets, toys and cleaning supplies. These donations are not just material items, they represent the collective compassion and commitment of our community to ensure the well-being of all creatures, great and small.
Despite our best efforts, WVDN acknowledges that we are falling short of our donation goals. The clock is ticking, and time is running out to help us help animals in need. That’s why we’re turning to you, our neighbors, friends and readers, to step up and join us in supporting this worthy cause.
Your contribution, no matter how big or small, can make a world of difference to an animal in need. Whether you donate a bag of dog food, a cozy blanket, laundry detergent or any other items on our original list, every little bit helps ensure that the Greenbrier Humane Society can continue its lifesaving work.
To participate in the donation drive, simply drop off your contributions at the WVDN office on Foster Street. Together, we can show our support for the Greenbrier Humane Society and make a tangible difference in the lives of animals that rely on their care.
As we approach the end of April, let’s come together as a community to aid our furry friends and those who care for them. Together, we can make a difference. Thank you for your support.
