Free World Percussion concert at White Sulphur Springs Library

WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS W.Va. (WVDN) – Sarah Hann and Cassidy McCoy will treat the audience to a musical journey featuring percussion instruments. This interactive recital will be at the White Sulphur Springs Public Library on Thursday, May 2, at 6 p.m. Discover traditional and modern music of instruments such as the riq, tar and mbira dzavadzimu.

There will be an opportunity at the end of the concert for questions and answers, and for the listeners to try out the instruments. Join the library to experience how these various types of instruments have entertained and moved people around the world. 

Sarah Hann has a music education degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a Masters from Winthrop University in South Carolina. She currently teaches K-5th grade at White Sulphur Springs Elementary School.

Cassidy McCoy has a music education degree from Concord University. She currently teaches Pre-K through 5th grade at Frankford Elementary School.

Light refreshments will be offered at the end of the concert.
