GREENBRIER VALLEY W.Va. (WVDN) – The Board of Directors of Hollowell Dawkins Foundation, Inc. awarded grants totaling $800,384.77 to 66 local organizations in the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025.

Grants awarded by the Hollowell Dawkins Foundation to date total $13,992,395.90.

Recipients of this year’s grant awards are as follows: Bethlehem Farm, Carnegie Hall, CASA of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit, Central Greenbrier Little League, Child & Youth Advocacy Center, Children’s Home Society, Communities in Schools of Greenbrier County, Davis-Stuart, Eastern Greenbrier Middle School, Encore Community Arts, Family Refuge Center, Town of Alderson Fire Department, Clintonville Volunteer Fire Department, Lewisburg Volunteer Fire Company, Quinwood Volunteer Fire Department, Ronceverte Volunteer Fire Department, Tri-County Volunteer Fire Department, Union Community Volunteer Fire Department, White Sulphur Springs Fire Department, Frankford Autumnfest Corporation, Friends of Feral and Homeless Cats, Gateway Industries, Greenbrier Community School, Greenbrier County Adopt-A-Cop, Greenbrier County Committee on Aging, Greenbrier County Emergency Ambulance, Greenbrier County Health Alliance, Greenbrier East Project Graduation, Greenbrier East Track, Greenbrier Girls Softball League, Greenbrier Historical Society, Greenbrier Humane Society, Greenbrier River Fly Fishing Classic, Greenbrier River Trail Association, Greenbrier Valley 4-H & FFA Ham/Bacon, Greenbrier Valley Sportsman Alliance, Greenbrier Valley Theatre, High Rocks Educational Corporation, Joyful Noise After School Program, Lewisburg Fairlea Food Locker, Lewisburg Foundation, Lewisburg Literary Group, Loni’s Legacy, Make-A-Wish Foundation, New River Community & Technical College Foundation, Patriots Motorcycle Club, Rainelle Food Pantry, Read Aloud WV, Reigning Warriors, City of Ronceverte, Ronceverte Lions Club, Ronceverte River Festival, Town of Rupert, Shepherd’s Center of Greenbrier Valley, Southern WV Amateur Radio Association, Wellspring of Greenbrier, WVU Extension Energy Express, Western Greenbrier Youth Baseball, White Sulphur Springs EMS, Young Life Greenbrier County and the following Public Libraries: Alderson, Greenbrier County, Rainelle, Ronceverte, Rupert and White Sulphur Springs.

Current Hollowell Dawkins Foundation Board members are Kelly Collins, Alyson Dotson, Katie Eads, Greg Glover, Dr. Michael Meadows, Mary Page Nemcik, Daniel Ream and Tommy Vance.

If you would like to apply for a grant from the Hollowell Dawkins Foundation, please request an application form by writing to the Foundation at 1022 Washington Street E., Lewisburg, WV 24901, by email, hollowellfoundation@gmail.com or from the website, hollowelldawkinsfoundation.org. When returning your completed grant application form, please include a copy of your Internal Revenue Service tax exemption letter, your budget for at least the two most recent years and your income statement and balance sheet for the current year. Applications are accepted at any time and delivered to 1022 Washington Street East or by mail; no electronic submissions are accepted. Grant awards are made in June each year. Applications must be received by April 1, 2026 to be considered at the June, 2026 Board meeting.

Awards are made in memory of Otto Hollowell, Margaret Ford Hollowell and John R. Dawkins and as a tribute to their philanthropic efforts throughout the Greenbrier Valley. It is the primary mission of the Foundation to promote and enhance the quality of life of the citizens of the Greenbrier Valley by supporting projects that sustain and advance educational, scientific, literary, recreational and cultural endeavors.
