RAINELLE W.Va. (WVDN) – According to officials, an incident involving an armed individual took place at the Walgreens in Rainelle on Nov. 6. Police received reports of a man who was allegedly under the influence of controlled substances wielding a knife and acting erratically at the location. Officers responded and reportedly saw an individual acting aggressively with a large knife who approached the officer’s vehicle.

Allegedly, when the officer told the man to stop, he instead attempted to flee on foot which prompted a chase. The chase reportedly went through chest-deep water and ended at an abandoned property. The officer tracked the person using wet footprints to a crawl space beneath the building. Following a short standoff, the person was identified as Ryan Ray Isenhart, 34.

Isenhart was found to have two prior convictions for obstruction. He faces multiple charges from this latest incident.

Isenhart is currently in Southern Regional Jail. One bail amount is set at $25,000 and another at $5,000.
