LEWISBURG, WV – June 18, 2026 – The Greenbrier County Circuit Court has finalized the sentencing of Shirley Mary Czaplinski (now known as Shirley Mary Magdalena Bell) following her guilty pleas to multiple felony drug offenses.
On June 15, 2026, Circuit Court Judge Patrick I. Via handed down consecutive prison sentences for Czaplinski, who appeared in person alongside her defense counsel, Eric M. Francis. The State of West Virginia was represented by Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Ryan R. Blake.
The formal sentencing details include:
- Delivery of Methamphetamine: Czaplinski was sentenced to an indeterminate prison term of one (1) to fifteen (15) years.
- Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine Base (Crack): Czaplinski received a second indeterminate sentence of one (1) to fifteen (15) years.
- Consecutive Terms: Judge Via ordered that the two sentences run consecutively, resulting in a total combined indeterminate sentence of two (2) to thirty (30) years.
Additionally, the Court ordered Czaplinski to pay $940.00 in restitution to the Greenbrier Valley Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force, alongside the standard costs of the legal proceedings. She was remanded to the custody of the West Virginia Division of Corrections and Rehabilitation to begin serving her sentence.
