FORT SPRING, W.Va. (WVDN) – The Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a reported drive-by shooting that occurred on Sunday afternoon.
According to the sheriff’s office, on Sunday, April 16, at approximately 4:16, members of the sheriff’s office and the Lewisburg detachment of the West Virginia State Police responded to a call of shots fired into a residence located on Mt. Vernon Road in Fort Spring.
Officers discovered that two shots had been discharged into the residence from a vehicle traveling on Mt. Vernon Road.
Witnesses advised responding officers that a silver Dodge pickup truck was seen traveling in the area when the shots were fired into the residence, and it is believed the shots were fired from that vehicle.
