Sandra Lucille Wickline Feamster, 59, of Waynesboro, VA, formerly of Alderson, WV, passed away Friday, October 31, 2014, at the Hospice House of the Piedmont in Charlottesville, VA, after a long and courageous battle with Myasthenia Gravis.

Sandy, as she as lovingly known by her friends and family, fought this disease with faith, strength, and immeasurable courage. Although there were frustrating times, she never once gave up on life or stopped fighting. God knew she would never give up, so he made the battle his and his alone when he called her home.

Born October 21, 1955, in Ronceverte, WV, she was the daughter of Charles F. Hiser of Ronceverte and the late Shirley Mae Hiser and the late Marcus Edward Wickline.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Conn York Feamster; and a sister, Layanna June Wickline Holcomb.

Sandy was a loving mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother who will be eternally missed by her family and friends. She was a women with a true heart of gold, extremely giving, and selfless.

She always thought of others before herself. She spent has last days happily asking other people how they were instead of being concerned about her own declining health. Sandy was extremely talented and amazingly creative. She was a gifted seamstress, quilter, and a flower arranger.

One of her greatest aspects was the ability to see beauty in things others could not see. Sandy spent much of her time decorating her home, always having a new quilt, flower, or primitive decorations to show off when family came to visit.

Her grandchildren were one of her greatest blessings. Not letting the illness stop her, she was the first to arrive the day they were born. Sandy loved reading to them, teaching them to cook and sew, taking them to the playground or her favorite restaurant.

As an avid reader, many days were spent sitting on her porch drinking coffee with Peanut asleep at her feet and reading Joyce Meyer books.

Survivors include her loving daughter, Melanie Morgan of Prince George, VA; sister and best friend, Libby Morgan and husband, Tim, of Caldwell, WV; two grandchildren, Olivia Montague and Mia Montague, both of Prince George; a devoted niece and nephew, Kelsey and David Morgan; nephews, Robert Falls of Alderson and Brett Falls of South Carolina; nieces, Beth Holcomb Quire of Kentucky and Jeri Holcomb Martin of Fairmont, WV; grandnephew, Tydus Carter of Caldwell; Sandy’s most faithful companion, her dog Peanut; along with a host of many aunts, uncles, cousins, neighbors, and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 8, 2014, at 2 PM at Morgan Funeral Home in Lewisburg, WV, with Frank Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Huffman Cemetery in Alderson.
Friends may call from 6-8 PM on Friday, November 7, at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Antonio Williams, Robert Falls, Brett Falls, Tim Morgan, David Morgan, and Wayne Burdette.

Online condolences may be expressed at www.morganfh.net.

Morgan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
