Joseph Edward Morgan Jr., 78, of Caldwell, WV, passed away Friday, October, 24, 2014, at his home.

Born January 20, 1936, at Ronceverte, WV, he was the son of the late Edward Joseph and Edith Marie Bennett Morgan.

Joe worked at Hercules for many years and retired from CSX Railroad.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Doug Morgan; an infant son, Morgan Morgan; and a grandson, Ray Baker.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Grimes Morgan; children, Catherine Baker of Ronceverte, Timothy Morgan and wife, Libby, of Caldwell, Sherry Canterbury and husband, Gary, of Ronceverte, Cody Morgan and wife, Melissa, of Ronceverte, Jack Morgan and wife, Georgeanne of Richmond, KY, Arden Morgan and wife, Cindy, of Ronceverte, and Melissa Boggs and husband, Kevin, of Caldwell; daughter-in-law, Sandy Morgan of Ronceverte; 16 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Joyce Morgan of Ronceverte; and brothers, Gary Morgan and wife, Priscilla, of Staunton, VA, Mick Morgan of Callahan, VA, and Phil Morgan of Ronceverte.

Services are scheduled for Tuesday, October 28, 2014, at 11 AM at the Morgan Funeral Home in Lewisburg, WV, with the Rev. Everette Defibaugh and Mr. J.D. Mahan officiating. Burial will follow at the Coffman Cemetery on Coffman Hill.

Visitation will be from 6-8 PM on Monday, October 27, at the funeral home in Lewisburg.

The family would like to thank Hospice for their kind and loving care.
