Greenbrier County Schools continue to struggle this week as new cases of COVID-19 are popping up all over the county. Now, Lewisburg Elementary is the latest addition to the list of county schools that have identified one or more cases of COVID-19.
Through a comment posted Monday night, November 9, on social media, Greenbrier County Schools stated, “Lewisburg Elementary is added to the list of schools transitioning to remote learning tomorrow, November 10. Schools are closed on Wednesday, November 11, for Veterans Day. Contact tracing is underway and the school will be sanitized prior to the return of students and staff on Thursday, November 12.”
The other county schools affected by the identification of these cases are Ronceverte Elementary School, Rupert Elementary School, White Sulphur Springs Elementary School, Western Greenbrier Middle School, Eastern Greenbrier Middle School and Greenbrier East High School.
All locations, with the exception of White Sulphur Springs, are scheduled to return to in-person learning on Thursday, November 12. White Sulphur Springs Elementary School will return to in-person learning after the Thanksgiving holiday-break on Monday, November 30.
