WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. (WVDN) — Hometown Appraisals and Realty is pleased to announce the return of Sonja Cole to its real estate team, bringing with her decades of professional experience, deep community roots, and a genuine passion for helping others.

Cole previously served as a Realtor with Hometown Appraisals and Realty for two years before transitioning into banking. After spending the past ten years with First Citizens Bank, she is excited to return to real estate and reunite with the Hometown team.

A familiar face throughout the Greenbrier Valley, Cole has spent much of her professional life serving the local community. Prior to her banking career, she spent 25 years as manager of The Children’s Shop at The Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs. She also devoted ten years to working with the Mountain State Regular Veterans Association, supporting local veterans and community initiatives.

Her extensive background in customer service, banking, business, and real estate has provided her with valuable experience and a strong appreciation for building lasting relationships.

“We are excited to have Sonja back as part of the Hometown team, where she truly shines,” said Doug Persinger, Broker/Owner of Hometown Appraisals and Realty. “Sonja has never met a stranger and has a special gift for making every client feel like the most important person in the world. She brings joy, energy, and a genuine love for people everywhere she goes. Those qualities are what make her so special, and we couldn’t be happier to welcome her home to Hometown.”

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Cole is a devoted mother of three daughters and proud grandmother of six grandchildren and four bonus grandchildren. She enjoys swimming, traveling, cruising, and spending quality time with family and friends. She is also active in her faith and enjoys serving at Bethesda Church in White Sulphur Springs.

For Cole, returning to real estate is about more than buying and selling property. It’s an opportunity to reconnect with familiar faces, establish new relationships, and help individuals and families find a place to call home.

Hometown Appraisals and Realty is a faith-based, family-owned real estate firm headquartered in White Sulphur Springs, proudly serving clients throughout West Virginia and Virginia. Under the leadership of Broker/Owner Douglas W. Persinger, the company is committed to providing professional real estate and appraisal services while maintaining the personal attention, integrity, and hometown values upon which the business was founded.

For those looking to buy or sell real estate, Sonja welcomes the opportunity to help. She can be reached directly at 304-661-4231.
