Fayetteville, W.Va. (WVDN) – George and Sherry Kusner, owners of Wild & Untamed Things of Alderson, will be exhibiting a large selection of their 3D printed and hand painted cryptids, creatures and other creative creations at the West Virginia Hive booth during the 46th annual Bridge Day 2026 on October 17.

George Kusner said he and Sherry, a West Virginia native, have always wanted to exhibit at Bridge Day. “When the West Virginia Hive offered us the opportunity to participate, we jumped at the chance,” he said. “Participating in Bridge Day offers us the opportunity to reach a broader audience, make connections with other artisans, and hopefully spread a little bit of joy and happiness.”

Wild & Untamed Things was launched in January 2024 and employs two people. The Kusners both served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years on active duty, so the small business is 100 percent veteran-owned and operated.

The Kusners see steady growth in their business. “Thanks to the support from the West Virginia Hive, our family, friends, loyal fanbase and our wonderful retail partners, the business is doing well and is continuing to grow,” said George Kusner.

“Having the full support of The Hive has been amazing,” Kusner added. “Our dedicated business advisor does a wonderful job of keeping us informed of new opportunities and ways to help grow our business. It’s like having a big brother out there in the crazy world of small business ownership. You know they are always there if you need them or have any questions.”

“Even though we have traveled the world,” said George Kusner, “we are proud to call West Virginia our home and look forward to continuing to grow our weird little business in these Wild and Wonderful hills.”

More information about Wild & Untamed Things is available on its website: Home | Wild & Untamed Things

The West Virginia Hive will also showcase five other clients at its booth – The Wooly Gorge in Oak Hill; Hinton Outfitters in Hinton; Sunbeams & Moonshine Creations in Talcott; Kraken Glass N Crafts, also in Talcott; and Mariposa Hollow in Glen Morgan.

Devon Fitzgerald, Regional Business Advisor at the West Virginia Hive, invites Bridge Day visitors to stop by the WV Hive booth to meet the entrepreneurs and learn more about their unique products and services.

Booths are open to the public from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. during Bridge Day 2026 at the New River Gorge in Fayette County.

The WV Hive serves Raleigh, Fayette, Summers and Nicholas counties.
