SATURDAY, OCTOBER 10: TASTE OF OUR TOWN FESTIVAL (TOOT) – The 40th annual Taste of Our Towns (TOOT) festival takes place Saturday, October 10, from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. Thousands of residents and visitors from across the region gather on the streets of historic downtown Lewisburg to sample delicious food from local restaurants, businesses, civic clubs, and nonprofit organizations.
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 15: APPALACHIAN ACOUSTIC – Second Stage Series performance on Thursday, October 15, at 7 p.m. with Appalachian Acoustic featuring singer-songwriters Ron Sowell, Aristotle Jones, and Mary Dailey. Second Stage takes place in the Old Stone Room located on the ground floor of Carnegie Hall. Enjoy Club Carnegie in the Board Room before the concert from 6 to 6:45 p.m. Free admission. OCTOBER 16, 23, 28, 29 & 30: HISTORIC CEMETERY TOURS – Popular historic cemetery tours return October 16 through the 30 in Partnership with Greenbrier Historical Society and Greenbrier Valley Theatre. Enjoy a guided candlelit tour of sections within two of Lewisburg’s historical cemeteries. Tours conclude at The North House Museum with a private viewing of a seasonally themed historical exhibit. Tickets are $15.

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 27: CREATURES IN THE NIGHT –Carnegie Hall-O-Ween Lecture presents Creatures in the Night: Bats, Rats and Spiders with Appalachian Headwaters on Tuesday, October 27, at 7 p.m. Join us for a creepy-crawly evening with Dr. Merri Collins and Kevin Johnson of Appalachian Headwaters as they explain the fascinating lives and valuable environmental impact of native Appalachian bats, rats and spiders.
