Why he plays Golf: “It teaches us to stay disciplined and has a lot of factors that tie into life.”
Coaches Comments: “Sam played a big part in getting the Team to the State Golf Championships. He made First Team All-Regionals and carried that momentum to Wheeling. Sam shot a 3 over on the back nine the first day to keep us in the hunt. His consistency and grit helped the Team finish 1 stroke out of the State Runner-Up position. After the 2-day tournament and 36 holes of Golf, Sam finished only 6 strokes off of First Team All-State. WOW! Sam helped the Greenbrier East Golf team keep our standard of being one of the Best Golf programs in the State of West Virginia year in and year out. We believed in Sam and he came through!
Spartan Alumni Spotlight: Norris Beard ’19 (First Team All-State) Norris played Golf at the next level for Fairmont State University. Another success story. Norris was one of the Golfers to get Greenbrier East on the path to consistent State Tournament appearances.
Miluk Golf Humor: “I just celebrated my anniversary. My wife said that I spend too much time thinking about Golf. She said, “Do you even remember the day we got married?” I said “Of course I do! It was the same day that I sank a 45-foot putt.” OUCH! This couch is getting too comfortable. Ha!

You spend too much time thinking about golf! Do you even remember the day we got married? Of course I do! It was the same day I sank that 45-foot putt.
