Yorktown High School football standout Chris Wilson, a four-star recruit committed to West Virginia University, was shot and killed early Monday in Muncie, Indiana.

Muncie police were called shortly before 3 a.m. to the 1400 block of East Cromer Avenue, where they found Wilson inside a vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds, according to reports. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Wilson, a 6-foot-5, 235-pound defensive end, committed to WVU in June. He was expected to graduate from Yorktown High School next year.
