An Oregon man was arrested on the evening of Monday, Sept.20 after an alleged altercation that occurred inside the cab of a tractor-trailer. Damir R. Kalinkin, 31, of Beaverton, Oregon, has been charged with one count of domestic battery.
Shortly after 5:20 p.m. on the date in question, law enforcement was dispatched to the area of Piercy Drive in response to reports of a physical altercation taking place within a truck traveling towards Applebees. Upon their arrival, officers found the vehicle stopped with a male driver, identified as Damir Kalinkin, and a female passenger inside.
According to the criminal complaint, the responding officer ordered the male out of the vehicle. However, the female also left the vehicle and walked away from the scene despite being told to stop. The responding officer then reportedly called for backup to assist with securing the scene and locating the female.
Upon locating the female, she advised officers that “he (Kalinkin) has beaten her for the last few days and she was trying to get away from him and the blood on him was hers and she spit on him after he busted her mouth.”
Officers reported that Kalinkin had “minimal marks” on him, while the female had “a huge bruise on her right cheek and a freshly busted nose and lip.”
Damir R. Kalinkin is currently being held at Southern Regional Jail on a surety/cash bond of $5,000.
