GREENBRIER COUNTY- Authorities are searching for two children who were reportedly abducted in Greenbrier County, which has prompted an emergency alert and an active search by the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office and West Virginia State Police.
The missing children have been identified as 7-year-old Ederic Cary and 17-year-old Daedriel Cary. Authorities said the two were last seen around the area of the intersection of U.S. Route 219 and Interstate 64.
Ederic is described as 4 feet-11-inches tall and approximately 70 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. Daedriel is approximately 5-feet-7 inches tall and 160 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.
She was last seen wearing black Nike shorts, pink socks, black glasses, and a gray T-shirt.
Investigators believe the children were taken by their mother, Nicole Cary, who authorities have described as armed and dangerous.
Anyone who sees the children or has information about their whereabouts should not approach or try to engage the suspect and should immediately contact law enforcement.
