Lucy Velva Vance
Lucy Velva Vance, 92, of Caldwell, WV, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at Seneca Trail Healthcare Center.
Born February 12, 1934, at Glace, WV, she was a daughter of the late Charles Fairbank Jones and Della Ellen Morse Jones.
Lucy was a homemaker and was a member of Second Creek Pentecostal Holiness Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Roy Vance; a son, Lee Roy Vance, Jr.; two sisters, Mary Adwell and Louise Mentz; and a brother, Frank Jones.
Survivors include daughters, Vicky Pickering (Danny) of Frankford, Linda Allender (Doug) of Ronceverte, and Liz Crislip (Rick) of Caldwell; a son, Charlie Robert Vance (Jennie) of Caldwell; grandchildren, Valerie Lint (Chet) Clarksville, TN, Candice Smith (Michael) of Caldwell, Crystal Holliday of Caldwell, and Aaron Lee Vance (Tammy) of Charleston; several great grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Highland Park Community Church, Second Creek, with Pastor Freddie Bostic officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
