LEWISBURG, W.Va. (WVDN) — Lewisburg in Bloom is pleased to announce that a guided Tree Trek was held at the Greenbrier County Library on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 10 a.m. More than 50 participants joined the walk, enjoying a morning of learning, exploration and connection. The trek featured eight notable trees near the library and concluded at the beloved Lewisburg Ginkgo, a community favorite known for its beauty and history. Participants had the opportunity to learn about local tree species. Children shared drawings and selfies of their favorite trees, which are available on the Tree Trek gallery at the library.
The Tree Trek is now available as a self-guided experience through July. Community members can pick up the brochure at the Greenbrier County Library. The self-guided format allows residents and visitors to enjoy the trek at their own pace while still experiencing the educational and environmental benefits of the program.
Lewisburg in Bloom is grateful for the strong turnout and the continued support of the community. The organization remains committed to offering programs that celebrate local nature, encourage learning and strengthen community connections.
