LEWISBURG- Greenbrier County officially unveiled a new mural at the Greenbrier County Courthouse as part of the statewide WV America 250 Mural Trail, commemorating the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States.

The mural, now on display in the courthouse foyer as soon as you walk through the double doors, celebrates the county’s rich history while recognizing America’s upcoming 250th birthday in 2026. Local artists Shelby Oreolt and Lynn Quillen designed and painted the mural, which was created through a joint effort involving the Greenbrier County Commission and the Greenbrier Historical Society.

The hand-painted mural depicts Greenbrier County’s story from its earliest times through the present day, featuring historic landmarks, notable locations, and other elements that reflect the county’s unique heritage and culture.
