The GVAC Sea Dragons swim team kicked off summer season with the Winchester Long Course Invitational and a home intrasquad meet.
All of the swimmers participating in the Winchester Invitational had personal best times in multiple events.
Solomon Rodebaugh placed in the top 10 in all of his events and Emily Hobbs achieved a state championship qualifying time in the 800-meter freestyle. This is the first time that a GVAC swimmer has qualified for that event.
The intrasquad meet was a friendly competition between Red and Blue teams. The Blue team edged out the Red team by a single point (446 for Blue and 445 for Red).
Community members are invited to attend the rematch on Wednesday, July 8th at 5 PM.
