WASHINGTON, D.C. (WVDN) – U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.), Chairman of the Senate Republican Policy Committee (RPC), released the below statement following the U.S. Senate’s passage of the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act:
“The 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act is a commonsense step toward addressing the housing affordability crisis impacting communities across West Virginia and our nation. By increasing housing supply, updating financing options, and cutting red tape, this legislation will create more opportunities for families to achieve homeownership. Far too many families—including many West Virginians—are struggling to find housing that meets their needs and fits their budget. This bill takes a practical approach to expanding housing availability and affordability while respecting local decision-making. I am proud to vote in favor of the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act and will continue working on solutions that help make life more affordable for West Virginians,” Senator Capito said.
