Kaden Stone was chosen for Greenbrier East in a very loaded field due to being 1st team all-state in football, finishing 3rd in the state in wrestling, and he runs track successfully. Kennedy Stewart was chosen as the female because she was 2nd team all-state in soccer and a first team all-state captain in basketball, became the school’s second all-time leading scorer and was the Class AAA state tourney MVP. Also was MVP in a postseason all-star game.
Others considered: Brody Hamric, Nate Suttle, Ava Workman, Annie Whited
For Greenbrier West, Dunbar excelled on the football field, had an all-state basketball season and is still currently breaking records on the track. Redden was a key member of the Lady Cavalier volleyball team that went to the state tournament and has led a young softball team back to the state tournament as well. She surpassed 500 strikeouts this season and also shattered the school’s all-time home run record (20).
