ELKVIEW: The Greenbrier East boys track team finished in eighth place with 58 points at the Class AAA Regional meet on Thursday at Herbert Hoover High School.

The Spartans had several standout performances such as Nate Suttle’s second place finish in the 100-meters and his victory in the 200. Grayson Adams had a top 5 finish (fifth place) in the 3200-meters with Kalem Mahon not far behind him at number seven. Also, freshman Aiden Denning, who will hold several records before he’s done at the school, won the 300-meter hurdles and did so by a full second-and-a-half.

100m: 2. Nate Suttle- 11.00, 6. Devin Penn- 11.46

200m: 1. Suttle- 22.77

400m: 9. London McDaniel- 55.11, 12. Adam Patriacca- 57.40

800m: 13. Nathan Conaway- 2:18.94, 17. Cash Ridpath- 2:40.67

1600m: 7. Grayson Adams- 5:00.87, 10. Ridpath- 5:11.54, 14. Kalem Mahon- 5:27.10

3200m: 5. Adams- 10:30.91, 7. Mahon- 11:22.75

300m Hurdles: Aiden Denning- 40.21

4×100 Relay: 3. GE (Penn, Denning, Jy Green, Suttle)- 44.12

4×200 Relay: 3. GE (Green, Denning, Kaden Stone, Suttle)- 1:31.29

4×400 Relay: 3. GE (Green, McDaniel, Stone, Denning)- 3:36.73

Shot Put: 8. Grayson VanBuren- 39-02.50, 15. Patrick Bostic- 32-06.50, 17. Zayir Lee- 31-01.00

Discus: 9. Lee- 116-07.50, 14. VanBuren- 92-07, 17. Bostic- 82-06.50
