Easter Cantata to be Held at Old Greenbrier Baptist Church in Alderson

ALDERSON W.Va. (WVDN) – The Old Greenbrier Baptist Church Choir and Friends will present their annual Easter Cantata on Sunday, March 29 th at 3 p.m. at the Old Greenbrier Baptist Church in Alderson. The title is: “Hosannas and Hallelujahs” (the week that changed everything), arranged by Dennis Allen. This cantata leads us through the Triumphal Entry into Good Friday and the celebration of the Resurrection Sunday. The music is sure to inspire you during the Easter Season.

It’s our privilege to share this musical directed by Dell Wood and accompanied by Nancy Wood. The participating choir members are: Sopranos –Rose Carter, Charlotte Grimmett, Jo Honaker, Sylvia Keaton, Carolyn Jo Knapp, Sarah Hampton, Regina Holliday, Mary Mitchell, Brenda Patterson, Patty Reinhold, Kari Still, Shirley Tolosa, and Louise Wood-Dixon. Altos –Cheryl Bice, Lea Ann Gwinn, Jeanne Luce, Lynda Neff, Amy Shelton, Lori Williams. Tenors – Greg Holliday, Peggy Patterson, Tony Tolosa, Curtis Pauley, and Brennan Wood. Basses – Darrell Croy, John Robert Holliday, Lawrence Lewis and Charles Mulkey. The narrator for the cantata is Sheila Harris. The soloists are Greg Holliday and Brennan Wood. The trumpeter is Brennan Wood.

We invite the public to attend this Easter Cantata and worship with us through music. A reception will follow the performance in our fellowship hall.
