LEWISBURG W.Va. (WVDN) – Save the Date for April 11, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. for the 18th Annual Lewisburg Chocolate Festival.

This year is going to be the sweetest yet. WV Hospice will host the Chocolate Chase. Be sure to sign up now at VisitLewisburgwv.com. There will be live music all day, chef demonstrations by Chef Jean Francois of The Greenbrier, and KevBot Chocolate will be holding a cooking demonstration on how to layer flavors such as berry, lemon, nuts and shortbread to create delicious Spring Chocolate Bark.

El Gleno Grande-The Horse Guy will be back with his fun performance. Be on the lookout for Willy Wonka on Stilts! Marcus Fioravante will be dressed as the Chocolate King himself and walking around on stilts. Be sure to get a photo with him.

Radio Greenbrier will be on site.

The Mousse Eating Contest is BACK by popular demand. Organizers said, “Thanks to the Lewisburg Rotary Club for all their hard work to bring this exciting event back! It was a major hit last year!”

There will be lots of fun around town. Stop by the Candyland photobooth sponsored by Sheena Pendley Design & Photography at Will Call. Face Painting by Nicole Suptic will be available at Love Child, the cost is $8+.

There will be many exciting tastings for your sweet tooth to enjoy. A few of the samplings for this year: chocolate avalanche cookies, holographic chocolate bars, cultivated s’mores dirty soda, strawberries and chocolate balsamic, and more. Many of your favorite chocolatiers return; Sticky Finger Apples and Tibbenham Chocolates are two fan favorites that organizers are so excited to have back again this year. Check out the full list of tastings on the official website.

All events during the festival are free to attend unless noted. Tickets can be purchased online up until 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, April 10. Day-of tickets are limited. Purchasing tickets online is strongly encouraged. Most attendees purchase 20-25 tickets per person.

Each year, the Lewisburg Chocolate Festival committee selects a non-profit partner to assist with the festival and to be the recipient of a portion of the funds raised. This year’s non-profit partner is the Family Refuge Center.

The Family Refuge Center is a community-based nonprofit serving Pocahontas, Greenbrier, Mercer, and Monroe Counties, dedicated to ending physical, sexual, and emotional abuse and promoting healthy, respectful family relationships. The organization provides comprehensive domestic violence and sexual assault services across five locations in three counties, including a 24-hour hotline, shelter, counseling, support groups, educational programs, and specialized services for children and survivors, along with prevention and community education initiatives.

Founded in 1978 by local residents who recognized the urgent need for support for women and children experiencing abuse, the organization was incorporated in 1980 and has since expanded its services and reach, growing in response to community needs and through strong partnerships with other agencies. Find out more about how Family Refuge Center impacts our communities in a positive way by visiting their website: https://www.familyrefugecenter.org/.

The Lewisburg Chocolate Festival is brought to you by: LDBA (Lewisburg Downtown Business Association), Visit Lewisburg, The City of Lewisburg, Greenbrier Valley WV, CVB/ Visitors Center, and more.
