VIRGINIA BEACH, VA- Congratulations to the Greenbrier East Wrestling team as several members competed at the NHSCA national high school wrestling tournament last weekend in Virginia Beach, VA.
The event was not school sanctioned and was an individual tournament.
The wrestlers who competed were Maya Frank, Kai Asano, Elijah Lee, Keshawn Bland, Kaden Stone, Aiden Fleshman, Owen Wolford, and Calvin Roberts.
Stone and Fleshman both picked up wins at the tournament in the first round. Most of all, a HUGE congratulations to Keyshawn Bland who placed 6th at 182 pounds. Bland picked up three wins in a row to solidify his All-American status. Bland is the first All-American in Greenbrier East history for the NHSCA tournament.
Coach Davis Solak labeled the weekend as “an awesome experience.”
