Cast Your Vote for the Gbr East/Gbr West Diamond Players of the Week

Please vote for the WV Daily News Greenbrier East and Greenbrier West Diamond Players of the Week for the week of Mar. 25-30. Two players from each team in the county (GE baseball, GE softball, GW baseball, and GW softball) are all listed together. We will take the top vote getter from each school and announce the winners on Monday nights (time may vary week-to-week). Again, there will be a winner from each school. Voting this week closes Monday, April 1, 2024, at 4:00 PM.

NOMINEES:

Kayla Bartley, GE – hit .466 in 5 games. Scored 3 runs with 2 RBIs. Pitched 21 innings and had 28 strikeouts. ERA was 3.43.

Alanis McClary, GE- hit .444 for the week. Scored 6 runs with a double and 2 RBIs.

Cole Vandall, GW- .500 batting average in 3 games. Had a double, scored a run and had 2 RBIs.

Scott McClung, GW- hit .333 with a double and scored 2 runs.

Preslee Treadway, GW- Broke out of early season slow start with 3 HRs in win over Princeton. Also scored 3 runs and had 4 RBIs.

Kyndall Taylor, GW- hit .500 in three games. Scored a run and had 3 RBIs.

Gabe Patton, GE- hit a scorching .571 in 6 games with 2 doubles, 8 runs, and 4 RBIs.

Gavin Bennett, GE- .388, double, 4 runs scored, and 4 RBIs in 6 games.
