PRINCETON- Preslee Treadway broke out of an early season mini slump in a big way last week when she homered three times in a 10-2 win over the Princeton Lady Tigers. With the win, the Cavaliers snapped a 2-game losing streak.
Treadway hit solo shots in the first and third innings, then capped her big night off with a 2-run bomb in the fifth.
West jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the top of the first and Treadway’s long shot was just one of the impressive hits for her team. Hannah Sweet singled, Maddie Fields hit a 2-run double, and Kyndall Taylor knocked in fields with a base hit as well.
They never looked back from that point forward.
Sophomore Brilee Redden was solid on the mound. She pitched a five-inning complete game, allowed just 5 hits, 2 runs, and four strikeouts. She walked 5 batters.
Treadway finished 3-4 with 3 runs scored and 4 RBIs. Taylor (2-3, run, 2 RBIs) and Julia Herndon (2-3, run, RBI) also had multi-hit games.
Zoey Agnew led Princeton at the plate with a 3-3 night. She homered, scored 2 runs and drove in one.
