WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS W.Va. (WVDN) – Linda Zimmer, a presenter for the Beatrix Potter Society, will appear as the famous writer and illustrator on Saturday, Dec. 9, at noon at the White Sulphur Springs Public Library. This Christmas program is designed for all ages.
While Beatrix Potter is famous as the creator of The Tale of Peter Rabbit and other cherished story books, she also led a remarkable life steeped in nature, farming and preservation. Zimmer will share information on these lesser-known contributions and answer questions about this remarkable artist, storyteller and countrywoman. The presentation will also include a reading of The Tailor of Gloucester, one of Beatrix Potter’s favorite stories.
Linda Zimmer is a renowned puppeteer and creative arts specialist. She has honed her performances in many different forums including The New Deal Festival in Arthurdale, West Virginia, WV University Children’s Hospital and on Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood.
