WASHINTON D.C. (WVDN) – According to a report from the Associated Press, Capitol Police responded to a “concerning 911” call indicating a possible active shooter earlier Wednesday. The agency made the announcement on the X social media platform.
Capitol Police has since noted that, as of 3 p.m., no reports have confirmed the presence of weapons or gunfire. Reportedly, staff and journalists in the building were asked to shelter in a locked room while the search was ongoing.
