Jettie Marie Jenkins Hylton, 88, of Ronceverte, WV, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, September 14, 2017, after a short illness.
Born April 6, 1929, at Pickaway, WV, she was the daughter of George and Nannie Dunbar Jenkins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar T. Hylton, in 1973; sisters, Merle Burns, Annette Elmore, and Corrine Lephew; and brother, Bill Jenkins.
Jettie is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Scott; sons, Donald Hylton (Cathy) and Michael Hylton (Terri), all of Ronceverte; grandchildren, Megan Ivins (Charlie) of Lexington, VA, Sara Hylton, DVM, (Trent White) of Caldwell, WV, and Jason Hylton (Leah) and Levi Hylton, all of Ronceverte; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Hannah, and Audrey Ivins, Hunter, Chase, Autumn, and Seth Hylton, and Abigail White; special nephew and niece, Charlie and Linda Hylton of Ronceverte; special grandson, Nathan Chevalier of Waynesboro, VA; brother, George “Macel” Jenkins (Pat), and sister Thelma Lephew, all of Pickaway; sister-in-law, Mary Sue Jenkins of Lewisburg, WV; caregiver and grandniece, Lisa Lephew Brooks of Lewisburg; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, September 16, 2017, at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Ronceverte. Burial will follow the service at the New Lebanon Cemetery in Pickaway.
Visitation for family and friends will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday.
Pallbearers will be Jason Hylton, Levi Hylton, Charlie Ivins, Trent White, Nathan Chevalier, and Bill Handley.
