Lucille Barlow Burns, 100, of Marlinton, WV, died Friday, June 23, 2017, at her home.
She was born June 18, 1917, at Huntersville, WV, to Samuel Isaac and Mabel Goldie Wagner Barlow.
Lucille was a homemaker, a 50-year plus member of Eastern Star, and was a member of the Marlinton Presbyterian Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred C. Burns Sr.; brother, Maynard Barlow; sisters, Myrtle Atkins, Madeline McComb, Nell Shrader, Louise McNeel, Juanita Patterson, and Evelyn Williams; and son-in-law, Fred Smith.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Burns Smith of Lewisburg, WV; sons, Fred C. Burns Jr. and wife, Carolyn, Thomas W. Burns and wife, Dreama, and Larry L. Burns and wife, Sheila, all of Marlinton; 16 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 12-2 PM on Monday, June 26, 2017, at the Marlinton Presbyterian Church.
Funeral services will be conducted at the church on Monday at 2 PM with Pastor Rachel Shepherd officiating. Interment will be at Mountain View Cemetery in Marlinton.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Marlinton Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 30, Marlinton, WV 24954.
VanReenen Funeral Home in Marlinton is in charge of arrangements.
