Eleanor Faye VanBuren, 81, of Neola, WV, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2016, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in Fairlea, WV.
Born August 18, 1934, at Neola, she was a daughter of Wyatt Dawson and Virginia Glee Thomas Hull.
She was of the Methodist faith, an avid reader, loved to watch television (especially Westerns including every movie starring John Wayne), and loved country music.
Preceding her in death, other than her parents, were a daughter, Melissa Deichert; sisters, Oma Gale “Sissy” Payne, Sharon Alcorn, Dorothy “Jeanie” Bunch, and Rometa “Tootsie” Blankenship; and brothers, Marshall, Billy, Spencer “Butch”, and Gordon Hull.
Survivors include sons, Richard VanBuren (Audrey) of White Sulphur Springs, WV, and Glen VanBuren (Erica) and John VanBuren, all of Neola; sisters, Bonnie Rider of Neola and Cindy Sabota of Marlinton, WV; brothers, Roger Trainer of Neola and Bobby Hull of Erie, PA; grandchildren, Keith VanBuren (Marybeth), Tabitha Withrow (Steve), Nicholas VanBuren (Kara), Megan VanBuren, Glen Wyatt VanBuren, and Troy Deichert (Stacy); and great-grandchildren, Donavan VanBuren, Madison VanBuren, O’Shea Boone, Zack Withrow, Nickara VanBuren, and Aiden Deichert.
Services will be held Saturday, July 9, 2016, at 11 AM in the chapel of Shanklin Funeral Home in White Sulphur Springs with the Rev. Bobby McClintic officiating. Burial will follow at the Watts Cemetery in Neola.
Visitation will be from 10-11 AM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations of sympathy may be made to the White Sulphur Springs Emergency Fund, 589 Main Street West, White Sulphur Springs, WV 24986, in memory of Melissa Deichert.
